I checked the site out Carolina and it looks promising. Question: What`s the black pudding like cause am droolin aw ready.
I often get my bairns to send food parcels from Scotland but when they arrive they have been opened and in a bit of a mess. Nothing taken but Customs emptied Bisto gravy granules all over the shop. Hope the bar stewards snorted it. With this shop being in Las Vegas that shouldnae happen but is the site a gamble ;D Tell us you experience.

USA, we used to have a shop here that sold the Black pudding and the Mick stuff was the best. However, this lot will be here Wednesday, so a full report will be available come the huns game. Trying to find TUC crackers here, but just can't get them. Maybee look on Razors threads to see if they are here. Mon the Hibs .Nope, no TUC crackers. All the ones I brought back at Christmas are long gone. Hope there will be a trip in May to the Cup final

Right, here's what I don't understand. If haggis is truly illegal in the US due to sheep lung restrictions or whatever it is, I'm wondering then how they away with selling all that stuff at the Asian markets. Here we have one called Ranch 99 and they sell all manner of animal parts--whole pigs heads and the like. But no haggis?
I don't think I've ever had black pudding (shudder), you'll have to say how it is when you get it.

But both black pudding and Haggis are very tasty and get a Saturday off to a grand start, big breakfast, few gallons of beer, Hibs game. Heaven, absolute, heaven

In Scotland, Tennents Lager, something else that is difficult to find here. I drink Yuengling here. Yep, that is the standard Saturday for a Hibs fan in Scotland. Miss that part lots. Was having a wee look at air fares for the end of May this morning. Ever hopeful, ever a Hibee. Mon the Hibs

Americans who speak with brogues when they haven't actually been born in Scotland are rather silly so I wouldn't attempt it in front of anyone else, but I like to think my true skill lies in actually understanding what a Scot says. ;D
I like to think that I've picked up a fair amount of slang too but it curiously all seems to be of the negative variety. I've found myself calling people on the freeway who cut me off a trumpet or a muppet. If I could, I would call them a "slavering fountain o’ pish, away and boil yer heid." But there again, I would be silly.

They do make haggis here but the contents are not exactly the same as the "real" thing. Can't imagine any US made black pudding would be the same either. I've bought the Irish balck pudding before and it's no bad at all. Used to smuggle all that stuff in regularly but your likely tae get arrested as a terrorist nowadays if you get caught. Back in Sunny Scotland nex month tho....first stop is one of the wee cafes in Leith for BP and egg roll....barry ;D
Also been looking at the ticket prices for end of May, will start looking good if/when we dispose of Der Hun. The wife's no gaunny be happy.
